Pushok square profile pic 1.jpg

Pushok

Pushok (poo-shock: means fluffy) is the only White Lion male in the One Cat Pride. He may be the most dangerous lion in our Pride as white lions can get up to 15% larger than Brown males. Pushok is both shy and curious at the same time. He never misses a chance to grab or bite if you're not paying attention. He could be lethal if given the chance. Other than Pushok starring in Lethal Weapon, he loves playing with a ball despite him being extremely overweight and out of shape.

Mia Square Profile Pic 1.jpg

Mia

Mia is our youngest White Lioness. She may be the tamest and kindest lioness in the One Cat Pride. Mia is an extrovert who loves having company, and is eager to go for walks with her caregiver Alex. She follows Alex aimlessly as if she was attached to him like a tail. Mia loves to play with recycled toys such as traffic cones, tires, and cardboard boxes. Even big cats love to curl up in a box when possible, if the box is too small then it is fabulous for tearing to shreds.

bestfriend.jpg

Bestfriend

Bestfriend suffered from Rickets as a cub, but with proper nutrients and supplements, he recovered and turned into the fighter and leader of the pride. Though he commands respect from all the other lions, even older and bigger ones, he's a straight-shooter who always lets you know where you stand. He loves to play with objects, especially 2-liter bottles, which can amuse him for hours. He doesn't, however, always like to share, and whether it's bottles or pumpkins he often takes them and runs off to enjoy them alone.

thicktail.jpg

Thicktail

Though the smallest of the pride, Thicktail is the oldest and cutest. She gets her name for her unusually thick tail and soft, downy fur. Also unusual is that she came to Alex herself. She was in another camp and already and adolescent by the time Alex met her, but he couldn't resist her persistent, steady charms, and she has integrated well into the pride. She is a notorious cabbage shredder, and playful with the other females, but still shy around the males, who sometimes bully her. Despite her small size, she can hold her own, and if there are no males around, she is happy to run and chase after thrown objects. Her favorite way to show the others that she's in the mood for play is to prod them with her powerful head, rhino-style.

kuchuk.jpg

Kuchuk

There's one in every pride, and Kuchuk is the grump of the group. As a cub, before being rescued, he developed a severe case of rickets, with 3 of his legs resembling seal flippers. When the breeder threatened to shoot him, Alex nursed him back to health and even created a splint for his legs to heal. Because of his injuries and the long, painful road to recovery, he tends to get irritable more quickly than the rest and just needs to be left alone for a while. But when no one is looking, or making him grumpy, he is full of sweetness and loves running after toys and playing with them on his own.

usha.jpg

Usha

Usha is Alex's most loving girl. Always hungry for affection and attention, she's usually the first to claim both from Alex and is generally the most people-oriented. Like several other members of the pride, she loves object play, but especially enjoys melons, which she licks clean away. Watermelons are good, but other types of fruit are even better. She is the darling of the group, the least aggressive, and makes a friend of everyone. She was the first to accept Thicktail, which certainly eased Thicktail's acceptance into the group immeasurably.

leew.jpg

Leew

Leew was Alex's very first rescue. As a cub, he was so sickly that he often refused food, then would eat and vomit, and was untreated and left to die. Nursing him slowly back to health, first by feeding him chicken broth every 30 minutes, Alex managed to save Leew, and he became Alex's softest and most loving boy. Recognizable by his luxurious long mane, eyes full of child-like wonder, and perpetually raised eyebrows, like any well-loved male, he loves sleeping and watching his surroundings from an elevated position. Though he likes play, it is usually Kuchuk, or the incentive of a toy, that incites him to participation.

trish.jpg

Trish

Trish is a true hunter - observant, thoughtful, calculating, controlled. She is the most successful at catching both fowl and waterfowl. She remains calm and composed, never revealing her underlying excitement. She is the sentinel of the pride, her preferred position is somewhere on branches or trees, watching something off in the distance. She is most playful with other females and still can't resist joining in when the rest of the pride chases one another.

milkyway2.jpg

Milkyway

The shyest of all the males, Milkyway suffered a debilitating back injury as a cub that almost cost him the use of his legs. Though he has mostly recovered thanks to diligent care, his back legs still occasionally give him trouble, a vulnerability which might account for his caution and tendency to keep to himself. As his health continues to improve and his confidence builds, he has begun to playfully bully some of the females, which Nari playfully counteracts by bullying him right back. Out of all the lions, Milkway most adores being pampered with the brush, and can never get enough of it.

Astinas cubs square profile pic 2.jpg

Tau & Tora

Tau & Tora are Astina’s twin cubs and are not White Lions like their mother, but rather brown lions like their father. The Twins will be reliant on their Mother Astina until they reach the age of maturity at 2 years old. Until then, the Twins are inseparable from each other. Their pastimes include terrorizing their mother Astina with rough play and destroying watermelon for enrichment. They have their mother’s naughty playful spirit which gets them into a world of trouble.

Astina

Born with a naughty glint in her eye and a playful spirit, with a lot of love patience and trust from Quintin, Astina has grown into a doting mother, and always enthusiastic and vocal play partner. With her bouncing, cheerful gait, and almost puppy-like sense of fun she is not at all shy around people or other lions. Her silky white coat and light blue eyes, and huge, powerful body, portrays the very embodiment of a perfect white lioness. She loves all object play - cones, tires, bottles, which she happily chases and jumps onto her high nighthouse with in bounding leaps, but her favorite treat is papaya, which she refuses to share, even with her beloved babies.

Simba

An alpha male since birth, Simba has always been hearty and dominant, yet protective and sweet. Accepting of all younger lions and extremely affectionate, he never abuses the power behind his strength. While being invited on free-range walks, he prefers to stay behind and guard all those he loves. Incredibly loving and kind, he is always the surveyor and will fight any potential danger that comes his or his sister Lala's way. A lover of both water and watermelons, he is unfailingly kind.

nari2.jpg

Nari

Nari's face of pure innocence belies her extremely naughty nature. She loves running, climbing trees and bullying almost everyone, male and female alike, then getting away with it with her sweet eyes. Like a dog, she runs after any toy (and enjoys a playful leg grab), though she will never bring them back. Her favorite toy, and probable crush, is Milkyway, and mock-charging the other lions is a favorite pastime, coming within mere millimeters of them while cheekily running past.

Mika

Rescued from one day old, premature and not fully formed, Mika required around-the-clock care for months after her birth. After being attacked by her mom upon birth, she lost two siblings to injury and trauma, and grew into a loving yet confident, willful, and independent survivor. With a love for climbing trees and fear for little, Mika was Claudia's first love and the inspiration for much of this whole project.

Lala

Blessed with good genes, a zest for life, and the loving protection of her brother Simba, Lala has grown up with supreme confidence and trust. Always playful, always loving, her fear of water might very well be her only fear, and even that can be overcome with the right toy. Her favorite activities include giant hugs, running in tall grass, devouring winter melons, and stealing toys from her brother.
